How does Invisalign work?

First, Dr. Snider will evaluate your teeth during your Invisalign Consultation and talk with you about any problems you’re having with your teeth, as well as what overall goals you have for your smile. Once you and Dr. Snider determine that Invisalign is the right treatment option for you, he’ll take digital X-rays, external photos and impressions of your teeth.

Dr. Snider sends this information to the Invisalign lab along with written instructions on how he wants your teeth to move. You will be able to see a virtual representation of how your teeth will move at each stage of the treatment, and Dr. Snider will let you know the approximate length of your treatment.

You will need to see Dr. Snider every six to eight weeks so that he can oversee your treatment. You will wear each aligner for one to two weeks and then change them. With each new aligner, you’ll see progress until your teeth are eventually straight.
